BCAST is an ongoing, animated sketchbook and diary. I began it last year, when I was having a particularly difficult time working on a project, and felt I had very little to show for my daily efforts. I began dedicating an hour or two each morning to making quick animations to loosen up and express what was on my mind in one way or another in cartoon form.
These works eventually became part of a larger project I termed BCAST. I have assembled these animations for broadcast on public access TV. This work will premiere on BCAT television in late April/early May and then travel to Omaha where it will be further developed during my residency at the Bemis Center. The idea of BCAST is to make work quickly and cheaply, and to disseminate images and ideas via public access television, the web, and non-traditional, public spaces for installation.
The images for add-art are culled from some of the animations I’ve made in the past year. Some will make the final cut for the broadcast, some won’t. Thanks for watching!
